The Council is pleased to announce that trained physiotherapists from South Africa can now apply to our FLYR stream of the Standard Assessment Pathway. This is a great opportunity to join the Australian physiotherapy workforce, which is considered to be among the very best in the world.
The stream enables candidates to successfully complete the pathway without the Clinical Assessment stage.
To qualify for FLYR, candidates from South Africa will need to have:
- Completed an entry-level physio qualification in South Africa
- held registration without restriction with the relevant regulatory body within the past 5 years
FLYR candidates need to successfully complete a points-based eligibility and the online written assessment in order to receive a final certificate. This final certificate can be used to apply for General Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
