    Welcome to the first stage of your assessment journey, as you work towards your goal of becoming a registered physiotherapist in Australia.

    The Council’s Standard Assessment Pathway is the most common assessment pathway for overseas qualified physiotherapists wanting to be registered and work as a physiotherapist in Australia.

    Eligible candidates with qualifications from approved countries can access the Express FLYR Pathway and FLYR Pathway.

    The Equivalence of Qualification Pathway is a document-based assessment of international physiotherapists’ qualifications.
  • Assessment for Skilled Migration Visas

    Assessment for Skilled Migration Visas or Skills Assessment is a document-based assessment of your qualifications and skills to ensure it meets the requirements of certain visa applications here in Australia.
  • Fees and processing times

    Overseas qualified physiotherapists are advised that payment is made at the time of applying for each assessment application.

  • Cultural Safety Training

    All international physiotherapy candidates starting the Council’s assessment pathways are required to complete the online Cultural Safety Training program.

    International physiotherapists undertaking the Council’s assessments are eligible for a free Associate Membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), the Australian physiotherapists’ peak body.
