What is the Clinical Workshop?
The Clinical Workshop is the last stage of the Australian Physiotherapy Entry Pathway (APEP) before receiving your Final Certificate. It is a one-day, in-person training at the Council’s Melbourne office, led by an experienced Australian physiotherapist.
The workshop focuses on key clinical and practical skills for safe, effective physiotherapy practice. It enables candidates to share this learning experience with other international physiotherapists entering the Australian physiotherapy profession.
How does it work?
- Format: The workshop is a full-day group-based training and assessment.
- Structure: The day is divided into a morning and afternoon session, focusing on hands-on/clinical skills and simulated cases.
- Facilitator: You will be trained and assessed by one experienced Australian physiotherapist who will facilitate the sessions
- Duration: One-day workshop
- Location: Australian Physiotherapy Council office, Level 4, 304 Burwood Road, Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia
- Insurance: Ensure you have adequate professional indemnity insurance to cover you. You must provide the Council with a Certificate of Currency – Professional Indemnity Insurance for a minimum of $5 million. The Council’s candidates have access to free professional indemnity insurance via their free associate membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
