The Council is pleased to welcome Heidi Kosakowski as Head of International Education and Development, bringing a global perspective to how physiotherapy programs build quality, confidence and trust.
Heidi joins the Council with deep experience across physiotherapy education, professional leadership and international sector engagement. She has worked alongside universities, educators, professional bodies and health leaders across a range of systems, giving her a strong understanding of the opportunities and pressures shaping physiotherapy education globally.
Heidi’s experience includes academic and professional roles with universities, the American Physical Therapy Association and World Physiotherapy, giving her a trusted perspective on education quality across international settings.
In her new role, Heidi leads the Council’s international accreditation, which supports physiotherapy programs to demonstrate their quality, strengthen graduate outcomes and build confidence with students, communities, regulators and partners.
Heidi’s approach is practical, collaborative and grounded in respect for local contexts and cultures. She understands that strong physiotherapy education is shaped by each country’s health needs, education systems, workforce priorities and regulatory environment.
