In 2025, the Council continues to focus on delivering excellent, high-quality physiotherapy accreditation and assessment services to our partners and customers.

Overseeing the Council’s work is our Board of Directors, who provide strong governance leadership and strategic direction.

This year, we are pleased to welcome two new non-Executive Directors, Liz Dixon and Catherine Arlove, to the Council.

Liz brings extensive experience both as a physiotherapist and within healthcare governance. Her clinical background spans neurological and trauma physiotherapy in both public and private healthcare settings, as well as clinical research and teaching in intensive care and acute environments. She currently serves as Director of Health Service Delivery and Performance at the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Catherine has extensive expertise in healthcare regulation, compliance, and risk management. She has held leadership roles in clinical teams, health law advocacy, and corporate environments. With over 25 years of clinical experience in both public and private sectors, Catherine currently serves as the National Integrity Manager for Ice Hockey Australia. Additionally, she is a three-time Olympian in judo, having represented Australia in 2000, 2004, and 2008.

Both Liz and Catherine bring complementary skills and capabilities to our existing Board of Directors. Their expertise will further strengthen the Council's ability to confidently fulfill our delegated regulatory responsibilities, supporting the Australian physiotherapy workforce in meeting the healthcare needs of communities across the country.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Liz Dixon and Catherine Arlove to the Council.
