The Council is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from individuals to join the Accreditation Committee membership and contribute to the quality of the future health workforce.
The Accreditation Committee oversees the Council’s accreditation of Australian university programs delivering physiotherapy education. They are responsible for identifying and developing best practices for the design, conduct and monitoring of accreditation services.
The new Committee member responsibilities include:
- Attend Committee meetings approximately 5 times per year (one face to face meeting, typically held in March every year and the other meetings conducted via teleconference)
- Provide expertise to meeting discussions and accreditation decisions
- contribute to the development and review of Advisory Papers.

The ideal candidate
We are looking for a person who is:
- familiar with accreditation standards of physiotherapy programs and processes to ensure the appropriate education of future health professionals
- familiar with the governance of health professions
- has experience in a clinical setting
- able to work collaboratively with committee members and staff
