The Australian Physiotherapy Council offers three assessment pathways for internationally qualified physiotherapists. The pathway that's right for you depends on where you completed your physiotherapy qualification and whether you meet the eligibility criteria.

Express FLYR
For eligible physiotherapists who completed their qualification from Express FLYR countries.

FLYR
A streamlined remote assessment pathway for physiotherapists who meet the eligibility requirements for FLYR countries and jurisdictions.

Australian Physiotherapy Entry Pathway (APEP)
The most common pathway used by internationally qualified physiotherapists.

If you completed your physiotherapy qualification outside Australia, you'll need to have your qualifications and skills assessed before applying for General Registration with Ahpra.

The Australian Physiotherapy Council is the assessing authority responsible for evaluating internationally qualified physiotherapists against the required entry-level standards of Australian physiotherapy practice.

Once you've successfully completed your assessment pathway and received your Australian Physiotherapy Council Final Certificate, you can apply for General Registration with Ahpra
