We are seeking a motivated recent physiotherapy graduate to join our Accreditation Committee and help ensure the future quality of healthcare professionals.

Our Accreditation Committee plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of physiotherapy education in Australia. By overseeing the Council’s accreditation of university programs, the Committee ensures that physiotherapy education remains of the highest quality nationwide. Through identifying and developing best practices in program design, delivery, and ongoing evaluation, the Committee helps guarantee that physiotherapy graduates are well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of the health workforce.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a person who is:

  • Is a recent graduate (within the past 2 years) from an accredited physiotherapy program
  • Ideally resides outside of Queensland to strengthen geographical diversity within the current committee
  • Has experience with new graduate onboarding and working in clinical settings
  • Can share consumer insights from a student perspective
  • Demonstrates a genuine interest in healthcare systems and service improvement
  • Is able to work collaboratively with Committee members and Council staff

The new Committee member's responsibilities include:

  • Attend Committee meetings approximately 5 times per year (one face to face meeting, typically held in March every year and the other meetings conducted via teleconference)
  • Provide expertise to meeting discussions and accreditation decisions
  • contribute to the development and review of Advisory Papers.
